Midea introduces a new line of window air conditioners


PARSIPPANY, NJ, May 2, 2019 / PRNewswire / – Summer is on the horizon, which means warmer weather is on the way! Midea – the world’s number one in air handling * – is excited to introduce its new SmartCool line of residential air conditioners to help consumers stay cool when the heat rises. Available now at Sam’s Club, Midea’s SmartCool Series, which consists of four models, offers comfort at any temperature, from cooling and dehumidifying to ventilation.

The cooling capacity of the SmartCool Series ranges from 8,000 to 25,000 British Thermal Units (BTU / hr) and can cool rooms up to 1,500 square feet. Newer models in the series will respond to voice commands through compatible Google and Alexa devices. Users can change cooling settings and other features via voice when they have an Echo or Google Home device with Midea AC Skill installed. Midea’s AC units are also compatible with the MideaAir app which brings cloud-based control to any smartphone or tablet inside and outside the home or business.

The new SmartCool series is also Energy Star® Certified with its built-in EnergySave function, users can save more energy and in turn save money on utility bills. Additional built-in features include EasyTimer which allows users to program their device to turn on / off only at home, as well as SleepWell which allows the air conditioner to adjust automatically for maximum sleeping comfort.

Designed with an exclusive and stylish touch control panel and a clear LED display on the front panel, the SmartCool series is ideal for most spaces. Additional features include: a 24-hour timer mode to adapt to consumers’ schedules so that it automatically turns on before they get home and turns off again when they get home let for work; sleep mode that automatically adjusts the temperature at bedtime and maintains maximum sleep comfort.

In addition to the SmartCool series, Midea is also introducing a new 70 pint dehumidifier. The new dehumidifier comes with a pump to protect spaces up to 1,550 square feet from mold caused by excess humidity. It can also help consumers breathe better by eliminating bacteria in the air that are hard on the lungs. The Midea dehumidifier can be operated continuously to ensure flawless operation when the unit is located near a suitable drain. It also comes with a washable filter for easy cleaning in addition to a one year warranty.
